Report Cards going home

We enjoyed meeting with families during February conferences. Since many conferences were held virtually due to the inclement weather, we sent home paper copies of report cards on Thursday.

AFIA 6th graders recently went to special exhibit at the Nelson.

Field Trips

Thanks to the Midwest Trust Center at Johnson County Community College our students have been able to attend a number of performances. These have included Jabari Dreams of Freedom, a play about the Civil Rights Movement and The Lost Treasure presented by Stone Lion Puppets. We are grateful for this partnership!

Our kindergarten students will be going to see Pete the Cat at the Coterie when we return from the break.

Our 6th graders recently went to the Nelson Atkins museum for the special exhibition Testimony: African Americans Artists collective.

This clinic is free of charge and will take place every other Saturday in the month of April (April 2nd, 16th, & 30th) in the AFIA gym. A letter and form was sent home with students on March 17th.
