Dear AFIA Families and Community Members,

Last week we sent our Annual Report to our families via text blast. We invite our community members to read this report as well. In this report we share our school’s Annual Performance Report (APR) and our Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) standardized testing data from May 2019. This data was recently released to the public. We are proud of the growth and progress that our school community has demonstrated over the last few years. We know that standardized testing is just one measure, but we know that is important that our students are prepared to do well on standardized tests, as this gives our students access to important resources. We will continue to work on improving on this metric.

In this report, we also share updates from the past few months of which we are proud. As a school community we appreciate our families and community partnerships in helping our students grow – academically, socially and emotionally. Our school model focuses on developing the whole child, thus in this update we share updates related to academics as well as other areas.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our principal, Karren Colbert or myself. The report can be found here.

Sincerely,

Tricia DeGraff, Ph.D.
