Teacher Appreciation Week: May 4-May 8 is Teacher Appreciation Week. One of AFIA’s points of pride is our innovative, collaborative and dedicated teaching team. Please help us celebrate our teachers by submitting a note of gratitude to your child’s teacher(s). The message can be from your child or yourself. Thank you for helping us celebrate the hard work and dedication of our AFIA teachers.
Annual evaluation of the Title I.A services at AFIA: Before the end of each school year, we host a meeting to review, evaluate and revise AFIA’s programming related to Title I.A, Title II.A, and Title IV.A Federal Programs, and the ESEA Consolidated Plans.
The purpose of this meeting is to seek involvement and input from adult members of AFIA’s community, including parents and guardians. During this meeting we’ll review student achievement data, gather feedback on school programming and discuss family engagement plans for the 2020-2021 school year. In order to gather as many family members as possible, we’d like your input to finalized the meeting time. The meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday, May 12, but the meeting time will be determined by your responses on this short survey.
Enrichment Newsletter: Ms. Dorothy, art teacher, and Mr. Goff, music teacher, share some family-friendly activities in their latest newsletter. Don’t forget to share your pictures and/or videos after completing the activities.
Harambee: Thank to all who joined us last week for Harambee! We hope to see you again this Friday on Google Meet at 3:15PM. Your teacher will share the link on Friday’s task list.
