AFIA’s Safe Return to School task force meets as needed. This task force includes AFIA staff members and the leadership team, parents/guardians, board members and representatives from Children’s Mercy Hospital. If you would like to join this task force or attend the next meeting, please email info@afiakc.org.
As of March 3rd, 2021, about 70% of our students were onsite across all grade levels (PK – 6th grade). As of August, 2021, all AFIA students will return on site. We will continue to follow careful risk mitigation protocols to ensure the safety of our school community. To learn more, please see the links below.

July 27, 2020 family update: Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in the KC Metro, we will begin the year with remote learning. This was an incredibly difficult decision. We will be providing many supports for our families and encourage our families to join us for virtual meetings to learn more.
